This time I purchased some of their products. Then, it dawned on me…October , had hair color at Aveda salon. I had been using the Green Science range for at least two weeks before I started noticing fine red bumps on my forehead, and around my nose and then my neck started breaking out in blotches. To the Doctor tomorrow if it's not improved overnight and then I will try for a refund. I have cut out just about everything but the aveda cleanser just because it was so low on my list of suspicion. I'm curious if anyone else that has been troubled by the Aveda Green Science products has sensitivities to shellfish.
Aveda should clearly state on their website whether or not they use synthetic fragrance. If the stylist you went to does not have the proper experience to give result without damage to the hair, then thats because the stylist did not have enough knowledge. I use to think Aveda was different then other lines but turns out they do the same cheap manufacturing of their products using chemicals that cause cancer and reproductive harm. Get Eco-Chick in your inbox! I thank Ray for clearing a few things up. It made my lines so much softer.
Life Passing -- Bye: WARNING: AVEDA GREEN SCIENCE FIRMING FACE CREAM IS MAKING MY LIFE MISERABLE
Since I've never had any allergic reaction to any skin products in my life, I couldn't figure out why my face is swollen, red, and extremely itchy! What about trying henna dyes? I have allergy tests done once a year because I have severe allergies. Without thinking, I used the facial soap. I hope the owner of this blog has forwarded the entire thread to Aveda.
I recently left Aveda to work in another salon and have started to research this. I had a meltdown at the dermatologist and he suggested Cetaphil "Gentle Skin Cleanser" and moisturizer for "Dry Sensitive Skin" as a basics - I've been very happy. Be smart people, and ranting on a blog probably isn't going to get you anywhere. Phenoxyethanol is a replacement for parabens as a preservative, and has conflicting data on whether it's harmful or not. Their website customer service seems to be equally as bad. After the 4th use, red bumps appeared all over my face. I've never tried any aveda products so this would be my first time using it.
